Round-up of Training Events
I recently spent an evening up at 7th Group out there at Dundonald doing a session on ‘The Childrens’ Order- Child Protection in Scouting’ with Scouters from 7th Group. Thanks again to Elizabeth Whitley (BSL 10th) for her help and thank you 7th for asking me. Have gone all soft and gooey!! Knowing that Scouting out there in East really wants me….someone wants the ADC LT. Hurrah!!! If any Group needs a hand/re-run on child protection or a training session on a particular subject please get in touch and provided the appearance money is OK with my agent, I will help in whatever way I can, provided that you show support. (7th pay great salaries incidently..this must be why Anne Jackson is the new GSL!!)
I also spent a few hours on a crash course with new 30th ASLs, Warren Patterson and Louise Foye- great to see new enthusiastic Leaders prepared to work with a newly restarted Troop. Two very enthusiastic Leaders who I know will do a great job up at Gilnahirk- NOW can East District show their support to these two new Leaders and 30th Troop?.
My thanks and congratulations to Suzanne Edgar (ACSL 64th). I recently assessed Suzanne’s Woodbadge Projects and was very impressed by her enthusiasm and obvious leadership skills. Well done Suzanne and keep it up!
Ian
